We are always looking for more help. As you might imagine, with over 200 players on the PSC rosters every year, we need as much help as we can find. From Coaches to Board Members, there are any number of positions with PSC where you could share your time and talents. And we have plenty of resources to help you should you decide to join us.
All of the positions that are discussed below are VOLUNTEER positions only.
COACHES
This is the one place where we typically need the most help. Those 200 players? They play on about 35 teams over the course of a year. And every one of those teams needs a coach. If you have soccer experience or were once a player, then this might be just the job for you. The time commitment? Roughly 4 to 5 hours per week will cover both two practices and your game.
BOARD MEMBERS
This, of course, is the administrative group that oversees all the operations of PSC. The Board of Directors is comprised of 7 members: President, Vice Presidents of Operations, Treasurer, Registrar, Secretary, Director of Coaching Development, and Director of Team Management. Our Board of Directors helps establish rules, makes sure rules are enforced, orders uniforms, oversees disciplinary issues, listens to suggestions/complaints, and, in general, tries to make sure PSC is doing everything it can to ensure players have fun and that parents are happy with the results.
Our Board Members also walk the fields on Game Day Saturdays and oversee the practice complex. Plus we have a board meeting once per month. This meeting lasts roughly 3 hours. But, as a board member, you're never really NOT working. There are always issues that need to be addressed.
Interested? And we hope you are...simply contact the PSC office. Call us at (580-678-5213) or email at
[email protected] and let us know. We will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Keep in mind...all volunteers are subject to a background check and must sign an agreement allowing that.
